Introducing Semi-Private Training at Iron Family Fitness
Over the past few months I have been thinking about ways that we can bridge the gap between personal training and group classes. A program that offers the level of accountability, customization and results of personal training but in a shared space with the community of group classes.
I wanted a way to help our members get the best results in the most effective way possible.
And in comes semi-private training.
You might be asking yourself: “What exactly is semi-private training?” And “Why should I consider it?”
What is Semi-Private Training?
Semi-private training is the perfect balance between personal training and group fitness.
Instead of one-on-one attention or being in a large class, you will train in a small group, usually 2–4 people. You will still receive customized programming and individualized coaching just like in a 1:1 but in a shared space. You benefit from the energy, accountability, and affordability of a semi private environment.
This means you get:
- Personalized programming tailored to your goals (Just like a 1:1)
- Individual coaching and form correction (Just like a 1:1)
- Motivation and energy from a small, supportive group (Just like your large group)
- Shared financial responsibility by sharing your space with a few other people
Essentially, it’s like having the benefits of a personal trainer, but with the added camaraderie, accountability, and fun of a small class.
Here are the benefits of Semi-Privates:
1. Personalized Attention Without the High Cost of 1:1 Training
You still get guidance, corrections, and modifications for your body and goals but in a small group setting that makes it more affordable than traditional personal training.
2. Accountability and Motivation
Sometimes it’s the energy of a class that keeps you showing up, and sometimes it’s the coaching cues that push you. Semi-private gives you both. You have a lifting buddy or two that cheers you on and a coach that ensures you’re moving safely and effectively.
3. Better Results Through Structure
Your programming is unique to your goals and background. Every exercise, every rep, every rest period is designed to help you progress. The coach is helping walk you through your specific program, not a general program; which means you get better results!
4. Small Groups = Safe, Effective, and Fun
Large classes can be intimidating or overwhelming. With semi-private, you have a smaller, supportive environment that encourages participation, learning, and confidence.
5. Flexibility and Community
Semi-private sessions allow you to get consistent training in a group environment while still feeling seen and supported. You’ll know the other participants, celebrate wins together, and build community all while focusing on your own progress.
Who is Semi-Private Training For?
Semi-private training is perfect if you:
- Want more guidance and attention than a regular class provides
- Desire the 1:1 guidance but need a more affordable option
- Enjoy learning in a small group with like-minded people
- Want to improve strength, conditioning, or overall fitness more efficiently
Basically, it’s for anyone looking for results, accountability, and connection without sacrificing attention, safety, or your bank!
Why We’re Offering Semi-Private Now

Semi-private is the perfect solution for those members. It allows us to provide coaching, accountability, and programming in a more flexible, supportive way than ever before.
If you’ve been curious about personal training but want a little more community, or if you want a smaller, more guided experience than a regular class, semi-private training could be the perfect fit!
We’ll show you exactly what to do, provide coaching every step of the way, and create a plan that works for your goals.
